Marble top boho bar at the Fed Community

James and I love finding local unique places to spend an early afternoon or evening on the weekends. The food is always better and the people are usually friendly. We find some of the best ambiences in these places.
The Fed Community is a restaurant I learned about before even moving to Michigan. Upon researching it, it moved to the top of our list of experiences. The food was all freshly prepared and mostly from local farmers. The decor was simply stunning. It boasts a modern boho look with extra special attention to rich textures and bright daylight.

From equipale chairs, faux fur throws, wall baskets and beautiful chandeliers, all the pieces came together to create an Anthro lover's dream. The restaurant was constructed out of an old bank building. The design preserved the integrity and character of this unique space with plenty of original exposed brick walls and original features, like the walk-in bank vault.

There were upper and lower levels with several rooms in each. Each room was more thoughtfully decorated than the next. From the bank vault dining room to the hidden speakeasy downstairs, there is no lack of ambience. Each corner is filled with character. The speakeasy and vault would be ideal for an intimate dinner or a fun experience for a double date.

I've never been so inspired by a restaurant before. I had a burger, which is a different choice for me, but it was so tasty. The steamed brioche bun and the fresh ingredients made all of the difference.

Upon leaving, I couldn't wait to show my friends pictures of the amazing place. The decor of The Fed Community matched with my vision for our home so well and will serve as inspiration for future projects.

I would recommend this eatery to absolutely anyone. The menu is not too big and not too small, and has options for every palette. The food is fresh and truly farm to table.
